When I am not running the Colorado River in the summers I am spending my time with teenagers in a middle school science classroom and exploring the world with my wife and two daughters. I have been working in the Grand Canyon since 2001 and guiding with CanX since 2002. I have a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a teaching certificate from Northern Arizona University. I keep returning to the Grand Canyon for the unbelievable beauty and freedom that a river trip brings. There is nothing like playing in the Grand Canyon all day and sleeping under the stars at night.
