Kristin Downing
Kristin Downing started guiding paddle trips in 1980 with a few trips in the Canyon but spent most of her time guiding in Oregon and Northern California. She started guiding full-seasons in Grand Canyon in 2000. Since 1990, when not on the river she works as the Education Bird Program Director at the Chintimini Wildlife Center in Corvallis, Oregon, where she trains birds of prey for educational presentations. What she loves about guiding is that “people really come together to help each other have this great experience”. She loves watching the Canyon work its magic on people!
