Lunch PreparationThe following is a sample menu for Canyon Explorations/Expeditions’ Colorado River trips. We provide a healthy, varied, and balanced diet on-river. Our regular menu contains a variety of choices and allows most people to eat heartily from the available selections.

Dutch OvensEVERY BREAKFAST INCLUDES fresh fruit (usually melon), juice, coffee, hot chocolate, and teas. Granola, yogurt, cold cereal, milk, and bagels are always available.

EVERY LUNCH INCLUDES sliced cheeses (Monterey Jack or Swiss and Cheddar), peanut butter, jelly, fresh fruit (usually sliced oranges and apples), cookies, and drinks (lemonade, Gatorade, ice tea, and Electrolyte Replacement Gookinaid). In addition, every Cold Cut Sandwich lunch includes vegetables such as, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and/or sprouts.
