Jeff Blanchard was teaching high school and leading wilderness trips with teenagers when he first came to the Grand Canyon with Canyon Explorations. The Canyon grabbed him like nowhere else he’d ever been and soon he was training to be a guide on tributaries of the Colorado in Utah. Jeff is starting his third full season this year with Canyon Explorations. On a trip with Jeff you’re likely to find him trying a hike to somewhere he’s never been, strumming a few songs you know (and probably a few you don’t) on his guitar, and, on clear moonless nights, staying up late to tour the Milky Way and beyond.
