Pat Phillips has been a Grand Canyon River guide for the last 10 years. Winters have often found him guiding in the Southern Latitudes, however, his love affair with the canyons and deserts of the American Southwest shows no sign of waning. Pat finds himself particularly interested in the natural conditions and legal policies which are shaping the future of the rivers of this region. He is currently finishing a Masters program in Water Resource Management at Northern Arizona University.
