Hailing from Flagstaff, Rachel Schmidt has been an outdoor guide for the last 15 years. Her river running travels have taken her to places such as Costa Rica, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, and Africa. In the winter months she runs an adventure travel business in Central America with her husband Scott. Come summertime Rachel is either leading bicycle tours above the rim or leading river trips for Canyon Explorations below the rim.
