15 years ago, when he started guiding in Grand Canyon, Sam Jones had no idea he would stick with it for so long. Sam’s passion for the canyon is apparent in the beautiful watercolor paintings he often creates while on river trips. Sam lives in Flagstaff, where he maintains an artists studio and works as a stone mason. This winter he has been working with Grand Canyon National Park’s trail crew repairing trails in locations that can only be accessed by river.
